Japanese language session starts today! feel free to reply^^
today, im going to start off with introducing the basics.
i was told that i had to stop abbreviating words to form a text message sort of thing so this may take a long time to post.. sorry on that part.
simple greetings are always fun and simple to learn.
O ha yo u (good morning)
おはよう
ko n ni chi wa (hello)
こんにちは
ko nn ba nn wa (good evening)
こんばんは
sa yo u na ra (goodbye)
さようなら
o ya su mi na sa i (good night)
おやすみなさい
i ve just seperated english roma letters into characters... the space indicates each character.
this is just an introduction keep tuned^^

numbers are easier than you think
numbers in japanese is simple when you know 1- 20

2 ni
3 san
4 shi / yon
5 go
6 roku
7 shichi / nana
8 hachi
9 qyuu
10 ju
11 ju ichi < see that 11 is ju + ichi therefore juichi... so simple right? xD
12 ju ni
13 jusan
20 ni ju 20 is 2 x10 ni x ju so niju...
21 21 is 2x10 + 1 so ni ju ichi x3
31 niju san
61 rokuju ichi
100 hyaku
101 hyaku ichi
120 hyaku niju see that 100 + 2x 10 = hyaku + ni x ju

many types of ... Japanese characteristics if you like...
there are 3 types of japanese text.
hiragana, katakana and kanji.
it is showen on statistics that once you have learnt 1000 kanjis, you will be able to understand roughly about 90% of what is written in a news paper article.
Hiragana is basically the english roma alphabet, its simple and easy just like alphabet but twice the amount of letters...
this is until primary school.
katakana is learnt in the same way, this is transliteration of other countries word such as coke and foreign names as using hiragana on foreign countries word is often written weirdly.
kanji is for primary to adults... it has over 50,000 characters and most people doesn't know all of it... hmm wonder why.. xD
kanji usually symbalisez the word.. easy ones are 1-3 and simple things such as river.
川 <RIVER Like water flowing..?
一 <1
二 <2
三 <3
ones i'll post on here is only hiragana... don't get bogged down with trying to learn these.. it is one of the hardest languages to learn xD
